Мы рады сообщить вам о том, что RUSSIANSinUK при поддержке RussianStudents запустили новый увлекательный проект Apprentice, целью которого является поддержка русскоязычных студентов британских университетов.

Этот проект адресован тем студентам, которые хотели бы увеличить свои шансы на трудоустройство в Великобритании путем получения опыта работы. В ходе нескольких недель команды будут выполнять задачи, поставленные предпринимателями. Участие в проекте поможет выпускникам впервые почувствовать реальную ответственность и проявить свои лучшие бизнес-качества: креативность, умение работать в команде, умение исполнить проект от начала до конца.

Project Description RUSSIANSinUK run Business Networking events on a monthly basis. We need help with organising December, January and February networking events 
Aim Provide 2 entertainment acts and get around 200 people to attend each networking event
Project length 3 months

Responsibilities:  
  1. Identify which communication will be required
  2. Send out all of the communication to the members
  3. Manage communication with 3rd parties
  4. Manage the communication within the team

Project name Russians in UK fundraising and providing attention to the kids
Organiser (project provider) Anya Portnik
Project Description RUSSIANSinUK help a number of Russian charities. At the end of the year, we will be travelling back to Russia for a week to spend some time with the kids and teach them one of the subjects (e.g. maths, English, football).  

The project is very challenging and individual. Each person involved will need to fundraise over 4 months (by getting sponsorship to do an activity of their choice) in order to travel to Russia. The total cost per person will be £600. Any additional funds will be offered to the charity. Those that succeed will not only have a once in a lifetime experience but also will have real results to show on their CV.

Job description  There are a number of steps that you will need to complete in order to complete this challenge:  
  1. Identify the skills that you will be teaching the kids (you can either provide ideas or chose from the list given)
  2. Identify a plan of how you will achieve your fundraising challenge
  3. When you reach £500 contact the project coordinator 
  4. Travel to Russia and teach your skill

Project name Society relations manager of the Russian Societies network
Organiser (project provider) RussianStudents.net
Project Description Russian speaking societies within the network of RussianStudents.net need to be contacted on regular basis to be update on current development and also to be facilitated to keep moving forward.  

There is an extensive list of societies which are currently not part of RS.net for which it would be beneficial to join and the project team need to action this.

Full guidance and briefing would be provided and assistance will be available at all time if required.
 
Aim Identify societies outside RS.net, sign them up and maintain the relationship

Responsibilities:

a) Ensuring that all those involved have a clear idea of what they are doing and no one is missing any information
b) All aspects of the project are communicated to the team at appropriate times
c) The progress on the project is communicated clearly to the project provider
d) Press releases and email communication is written and submitted at given deadlines
e) Managing expectations of parties involved
f) Writing up all of the proposal communications

Project implementer (2 people)

a) Working as a team you will need to draw up the list of societies that you need to contact
b) Use negotiation skills to highlight to the societies all of the potential benefits the RS.net membership offers (phone or arrange meeting with Presidents)
c) Establish the relationship with the society and maintain the existing relationships. This will involve keeping up to date with the latest events and offering help in the information and organisation support

Project Description AtoZStudents offer a range of the recruitment services to various corporations and international companies who require Russian speaking employees, both graduate positions and internships.

Project Description

Russianstudents.net has established contacts with two extensively represented London letting agencies which are keen to collaborate with RS to let properties to Russian Speaking students studying in London.

This could also potentially expand to national level.

Job description 

There are a number of steps that you will need to take in order to complete this challenge:

    1. Meet the agency representative and discuss the arrangements
    2. Identify the best way to publish and update the property list on the RS.net website (collaboration with the technical team)
    3. Utilise the RS.net existing lawyer to draft and sign a contract with the agency
    4. Promote the letting service of the RS.net

Project name  Be the journalist of «The Russian Thought»
 Organiser (project provider)  The leading Russian-language pan-European newspaper
 Project Description  Successful candidates will have a unique opportunity to gain an invaluable experience of working in the oldest Russian-speaking newspaper «The Russian Thought». Professional journalists and editors will share their skills and help Journalism Department students to improve their professional level and to receive certain knowledge that is necessary when working in mass media
 Aim  The main task of this project is to help students to test the theoretical knowledge by gaining practical skills. That is why the students will be required to get involved into the process of creative work, work in editorial team next to professionals, take part in newspaper production process, as well as day-to-day problems of editorial life, search for their favourite genre, creative credo alongside with the ability to develop their own unique and recognizable style.
